50 Great Short Stories 是今年下半年買的，Sherlock Holmes 是今年書展買的，The O. Henry Prize 是去當交換學生時朋友送的，我到現在都還沒看完… (淚奔)

故事有長有短，有些看完還是不知道要表達什麼…，記錄篇名和說說我比較有印象的幾篇。

1. The Garden Party

讓人聯想到唐頓莊園。

2. The Three-Day Blow

這就是我說的看完也不知道在講什麼的故事…。

復仇的故事。

8. Graven Image

一個在最後關頭說錯話的故事，以及社會階級流動的不容易。

9. Putois

一個不存在的人卻有許許多多關於他的故事。

10. The Lottery

結局有點駭人，前面的鋪陳完全看不出結果。

11. The Masque of The Red Death

這篇篇幅不長，但文法和單字都很難，於是我看完後翻回去看作者是誰，Edgar Allan Poe。

看到中間會對主角有點生氣，怎麼這麼好騙又愚蠢。

17. The Man Who Shot Snapping Turtles

基本上就是幫海龜湯打廣告的故事 (字面上的海龜湯)。

一個非要冰塊不可的爸爸。

1.  Your Duck is My Duck

我現在真的想不起來在講什麼了嗚嗚，反而是下一篇比較有印象 (關於在古巴的醫生)，但那篇還沒看完。

Sherlock Holmes

我有一整套東方出版社的福爾摩斯，劇情內容大致都記得，但光聽有聲書真的聽不太懂，畢竟也是比較老式的英文，就買了實體書邊聽邊看。

福爾摩斯是我對偵探小說的啟蒙，沒有太多華麗花俏的手法，而是觀察、分析及歸納。許多人詮釋過福爾摩斯，但最真切的還是書中那個福爾摩斯。
